Arislan You is the organizer, and he’s been sharing the call through Komunitas Jual Beli Bali. That’s a buy-and-sell group, of all places to go looking for a runway casting, but Bali Facebook works in mysterious ways and people clearly found it.
The Lostir Rose Gowns Are What Everyone Keeps Posting
Gowns for young models, covered in handmade fabric roses. That’s the Lostir Rose line, and it’s the collection getting passed around most.
I’ve only seen phone photos. Phone photos flatten fabric flowers into little pink blobs, so I’m not going to pretend I know how they look up close. The thing I’d want to know as a parent is weight. Twenty or thirty stitched roses on a small child’s dress add up quickly, and kids pull at anything that scratches or sits heavy on the shoulder, usually thirty seconds before they’re meant to walk.
What A Registered Model Gets
According to the organizers, every junior model who signs up receives:
- a custom runway designer outfit, theirs to keep.
- custom headpieces and accessories.
- hair and makeup, or hijab styling.
- official stage documentation.
- a participant certificate.
I did a double take at the outfit part.
A Few Things I Couldn’t Find Anywhere
No fee is posted publicly. No age brackets, no rehearsal schedule, nothing about whether parents can stay backstage. The original post just says slots are limited, segera amankan yaa, with that cheerful double “a” that every Bali event post seems to use.
So ask before you send money. The event page on Facebook has updates, and people are asking questions in the discussion there already, so some answers may show up before November.
GWK Itself
The park is huge and mostly open-air. The 121-meter statue of Vishnu on Garuda is the reason most people go, and there are artisan shops plus Balinese dance performances running through the day. More on the GWK Cultural Park site.
Junior runways in Indonesia have a mixed record. Some are lovely little shows run by people who care about the kids, and some are expensive photoshoots with a certificate stapled on at the end. I can’t tell yet which one this is.
